Homestar Runner’s Strong Bads Lures PS3 Owners

For gamers in the US who own a PS3 console or are contemplating buying one, Telltale Games is presenting the self-proclaimed coolest person from the internet cartoons of HomestarRunner.com in an episodic series of video games.  The digital publisher is bringing Strong Bad, one of the flash web cartoon’s main characters, in Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People for PS3 consoles which was previously only released for Wii and PC systems.
SBCG4AP, devloped by Telltale in partnership with HomeStarRunner.com creators Mike and Matt Chapman, extracts all the comedy and irreverence of the web cartoons that made the series immensely popular, and puts it into five story-driven episodic series.  Implied character interaction, dialougue-based puzzles and appropriate use of inventory items will lead players to unveil each episode’s humorous plot.
Scoping rock and roll to political struggles and running it through to the world of video cames, SBCG4AP’s storyline is packed with leisurely acts to keep players engaged in the game.  With Strong Bad emails to check, prank phone calls to place and mini-games styled after the arcade games on the Homestar Runner’s official website, this comedic take on the web series features the character cast and settings from its original source.
Matt Chapman along with the rest of the original cast is reported to have voice acted the SBCG4AP games.
Scheduled to be revealed for PS3 in North America from December 21st 2010, Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People will be accessible via the PSN in Europe and Mac version soon after.  The game can also presently be availed for PC from Telltale’s official website and for Wii through Nintendo WiiWare.

Sony: Bulldozing Through New Media

Sony, Amazon Said to Be Prepping Media Services.  As if things weren’t already crowded enough with today’s Apple TV announcement and rumors of Google’s possible movie and TV streaming service, Sony and Amazon are being ushered onto the bandwagon.
